KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty getting married later this year ?

KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty might get married soon, they will reportedly have an Indian winter wedding this year.

According to a report in Pinkvilla, Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul will be having a South Indian wedding. A source close to the Shetty family told the publication that the preparation for the wedding has already begun. Both the parents are very fond of Athiya and KL Rahul respectively. The couple might get married before 2022 ends.

Suniel Shetty is a South Indian, born in a Mangalorean Tulu-speaking family in Mulki. KL Rahul is also from Mangalore. Hence, the couple will reportedly be having a South Indian wedding ceremony.

KL Rahul turned 30 on April 18, his girlfriend Athiya Shetty shared their most adorable pictures on social media. The actress also wrote a sweet note for him too. Athiya dropped some unseen pictures of them on Instagram. In the black-and-white photos, they can be seen sharing a hug and walking hand-in-hand. “Anywhere with you, happy birthday (sic),” Athiya captioned her post.

Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul made their first public appearance together as a couple last year during the premiere of Ahaan Shetty’s debut film Tadap. Athiya is often seen supporting KL Rahul for his international cricket matches and IPL games.

In an interview with the Times of India, Athiya’s friend spoke about the wedding rumours and set the record straight. She said that both, Athiya and Rahul, currently have a lot on their plates professionally. With several projects lined up and the T20 World Cup 2022, the couple is busy working and has no time for a wedding this year.

Currently, KL Rahul is the skipper of Lucknow Super Giants and has scored 265 runs so far at an average of 44.16.
