Kerala Blasters FC goalkeeper Prabhsukhan Gill chosen as the ISL Emerging Player of the Month for February

After some eye-catching performances throughout the month of February, Kerala Blasters FC goalkeeper Prabhsukhan Gill has been selected as the Emerging Player of the Month for February 2022.

The 21-year-old kept two clean sheets in February that took his total to six, which most clean sheets in the league this season. With an exceptional save percentage of 70.83%, he has ensured that KBFC remains in the hunt for the top four spots.

The shot-stopper was picked by five out of the 15 experts as their top choice. In the second place, was ATK Mohun Bagan’s Liston Colaco, who was picked by four of the 15 experts.

Gill has been ever-present in the KBFC backline featuring in 15 games for them this season. Additionally, he has racked up 34 saves over that period. His performances have been a shining light in an otherwise mediocre month for Ivan Vukomanovic’s men. Out of the six matches that they played in February, they won only three and lost to top-four rivals Hyderabad FC and Jamshedpur FC.

Gill has become the fourth recipient of this award after Mumbai City FC’s Lalengmawia Ralte (November), ATK Mohun Bagan’s Liston Colaco (December), and Bengaluru FC’s Roshan Naorem Singh (January).
