Day 3 was not short of action, as Virat Kohli and Jonny Bairstow were seen exchanging pleasantries during the 5th Test Match between India and England.
IND vs ENG: Day 3 of the 5th test saw Jonny Bairstow enter beast mode after former Indian captain, Virat Kohli, was seen mouthing words to him.
After Jasprit Bumrah smashed Stuart Broad for 35 runs in an over, he came back to pick up 3 wickets with the ball.
The Indian star pacer is having a great time out on the field. He is leading his players from the front on his captaincy debut.
Thanks to the timely tons of Rishabh Pant and Sir Ravindra Jadeja, India ended up with 416 runs on the board, after being reduced to 98/5.
Bumrah and Shami then tormented the partnered well with the new ball, not allowing the English batsmen to get going.
England ended day 2 with half the side back in the hut for just 85 runs. Bairstow had a cautious start to his innings as well. But, the few words that were mouthed to him by Virat Kohli, Bairstow took his aggression up a notch.
He started scoring freely, hitting the Indian pacers to all parts of the ground.
To put this into perspective, Bairstow’s strike-rate before the sledging was 21, after the sledging was 150!

The Englishman also scored a brisk 71* off just 44 balls to help England whitewash New Zealand in the 3rd test of the series.
Today, Bairstow scored a quick 106 off just 140 balls, to help England avoid follow-on.
