India are set to face England in the 5th and final test match of the long ongoing series between the two. The series began last year but had been postponed following a rise in the Covid – 19 cases in the Indian camp.

Now, the two teams are all set to face off at the Edgbaston. For the first time in three and a half decades, a fast bowler will lead India in a Test match.

Following a memorable win at The Oval, India are on the verge of scripting history. They lead the series 2-1, before going in to the 1-off test starting July 1st.

In the light of the absence of Rohit Sharma, Punjab Kings captain, Mayank Agarwal has been called up to the test side as a replacement.

Other opening option includes Hanuma Vihari, who has opened earlier at the MCG but, could only manage the scores of 8 and 13. But, Vihari earned praise of the then Indian Captain Virat Kohli, for spending time on the crease and seeing out the new ball.
