James Faulkner is banned from the Tournament for Life by the Pakistan Board

Australian cricketer James Faulkner was issued a life ban from the Pakistan Super League (PSL) on Saturday after withdrawing from the competition, blaming the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and his side Quetta Gladiators for failing to “respect” a contractual agreement. Faulkner, who played six matches for the Gladiators this season, apologised to Pakistan cricket fans on Twitter for leaving from the league. “I apologise to the Pakistan cricket fans,” Faulkner stated in his apology.  However, because to the PCB’s failure to honour my contractual agreements/payments, I’ve had to withdraw from the remaining two matches and exit the PSL “In a Twitter thread, Faulkner stated.

I’ve been here the entire time, and they have continued to lie to me.”

In another tweet, Faulkner stated that he wants international cricket to return to Pakistan and that the treatment he has gotten from the PCB and the PSL has been “a disgrace.”

” “I’m in pain because I wanted to help bring international cricket back to Pakistan, as there is so much potential and the fans are wonderful. However, the treatment I have received from PCB and PSL has been a disgrace. Then he wrote the following tweet: “I’m sure you all get what I’m saying.”.

In response, the PCB labelled Faulkner’s charges “baseless” and banned him from the event for life.

“The PCB and Quetta Gladiators are disappointed and dismayed by Mr James Faulkner’s heinous behaviour,” read a portion of the PCB’s statement. ” “He was also a member of the Abu Dhabi-leg of the HBL Pakistan Super League in 2021, and, like all participants, has always been treated with the highest respect.”

Faulkner took six wickets in six matches for the Gladiators in the current PSL 7.
