Jasprit Bumrah’s Workload Debate: Balwinder Singh Sandhu Criticizes Modern “Workload

It would be fantastic if I could play for CSK, says Dinesh Karthik.
Dinesh Karthik said he is looking forward to the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 auction and that competing in the T20 event, which allows him to display his hard work and preparation, is an honour in itself.
Dinesh Karthik, who has been playing for Kolkata Knight Riders since IPL 2018, said it is difficult to choose a team for IPL 2022, but that it would be fantastic if he could play for Chennai Super Kings, the four-time champions from his hometown.
Karthik has represented as many as six clubs in the past but has yet to play for MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings in the IPL’s 14-year existence.
According to the Press Trust of India, Karthik is now working hard in Mumbai under the tutelage of friend and instructor Abhishek Nayar, focusing on honing his finishing abilities in the T20 format.
Wicketkeepers from India are in high demand, and despite not playing for India since the 2019 World Cup, Karthik has stayed in shape by competing in domestic competitions for Tamil Nadu. Karthik also scored a century in the Vijay Hazare Trophy final earlier this year.
With the IPL 2022 auction scheduled to take place in Bengaluru on February 12 and 13, Karthik explained what it means for him to participate in the competition. Karthik has scored 4046 runs in 213 IPL games, including 19 fifties.
“Look, it’s amazing if I can play for CSK,” Karthik said of a prospective “homecoming” with CSK. “I am from Chennai.” But, at the end of the day, whichever club I get to play for would be an enormous honour since, as I previously stated, all of this practice I’ve been doing these days is to try and perform well in a tournament like the IPL.”
