It is expected that IPL 2022 will have a 25 percent crowd limit.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) is all set to begin on March 27. With the addition of the two franchises, the tournament will have 74 matches. IPL 2022 has 10 franchises. Over players 896 Indian and 318 overseas players have been registered for the Indian Premier League (IPL).

A lot of meetings are underway before the mega auction for the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2022. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) seems likely to host it at home.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is confident of hosting the tournament across four venues in Maharashtra-the Wankhede Stadium, Brabourne Stadium, DY Patil Stadium, and the MCA Stadium in Gahunje will feature league matches.

Although the COVID-19 situation still haunts India, the BCCI plans to host the IPL tournament in the country. India is still under the COVID-19 pandemic, with the Omicron variant dominant across the country. And in case the Covid-19 cases in India are low at the time, Ahmedabad could be considered as an alternate venue to host the playoff. If the pandemic situation in India isn’t under control to host the tournament, also South Africa and the UAE will be the backup options in no order.

Still, the state government authorities are likely to allow around 25 capacity crowds for this time’s IPL,” a Maharashtra government politician said, “If the number of positive cases is not high around that time.
