Ishan Kishan released from hospital but unlikely to play third T20I
Ishan Kishan, India’s wicketkeeper-batsman, was placed under the supervision of the BCCI medical team after being released from the hospital in Kangra, Himachal Pradesh. Ishan, on the other hand, is unlikely to participate in the third T20 match against Sri Lanka on Sunday in Dharamshala.
As a result of the injury he sustained in the second Twenty20 international against Sri Lanka, Ishan Kishan has been admitted to the hospital in Kangra, Himachal Pradesh. The sharp bouncer bowled by Lahiru Kumara in India’s fourth over struck his head.
Due to the hardness of the pitch, Kishan removed his helmet even though the Sri Lankan fielders swarmed around him. Ishan was admitted to the regular ward as a precaution, and a CT scan was performed as soon as he arrived.
In the absence of Ishan Kishan, Sanju Samson is likely to keep wicket for India, while Mayank Agarwal will begin batting. Due to a wrist injury to Ruturaj Gaikwad, Agarwal was called up to the Indian team.
India will be looking for a good result in the third T20I against Sri Lanka in Dharamsala after defending a total and chasing down a huge one in the previous two T20Is. With a win in the last T20I, they would have won 12 in a row, equalling the record held by Afghanistan and Romania for the longest winning run in T20Is.
