IPL2022: CSK will look to seek their first win against settled RCB
CSK will go against RCB at DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai on April 12
IPL2022: CSK Head coach Stephen Fleming lamented the batting, bowling and fielding after the loss to Sunrisers Hyderabad indicating that the self-belief of the four-time champions is on shaky grounds.
While RCB has remained an underachiever in IPL, their performances against southern rivals CSK have been far from impressive over the years.
CSK has had a stranglehold over RCB in terms of head-to-head figures, but one man who knows all about this dominance is Faf himself. He knows exactly how CSK plans to keep Virat Kohli’s bat silent and he will use all the information to help RCB turn the tables.
While Faf’s experience and understanding will be crucial in their game against the four-time champions on Tuesday, there’s absolutely no doubt that CSK hasn’t been able to fill the hole that has been created by the South African’s departure as youngster Rituraj Gaikwad is not able to showcase his talent with the bat-like last year. The middle-order is stumbling. Lower order batters are not able to finish the innings as the veteran West Indies former captain Bravo has scored less than 20 runs in 4 games, former captain dhoni has scored a half-century in the opening match but after that, he has failed to show his firepower towards the end.
UNAVAILABLE :
CSK– None
RCB– Harshal Patel has left the bubble to return home due to family reasons.
PITCH REPORT:
Winning the toss on this surface is important because of the dew coming into play later on the stage, chase becomes easy for the team. Three of the four evening games played here are won by the teams who were bowling first. Captains will be comfortable chasing the target, they would go for bowling first.
TACTICS:
Chennai Super Kings–
1)Middle Order- left-handers including Moeen Ali, Ravindra Jadeja and Shivam Dube should look to accelerate the innings in the middle overs, setting the stage for the finishers to come and take the team to a winning total.
2)Powerplay Concerns- The unavailability of Deepak Chahar due to injury has weakened the bowling unit, especially during powerplay as CSK has managed to take only one wicket in the powerplay.
Royal Challengers Bangalore–
1)In Form Batting Unit- Anuj Rawat and Virat Kohli got some runs in the last match against MI which resulted in a very strong batting lineup. It will be hard for CSK bowler to stop them.
2)Bowling Unit- As Harshal Patel is not available, RCB can add Josh Hazlewood to strengthen their bowling unit. David Willey will help to get some quick inroads.
HEAD TO HEAD :
