IPL: MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli Retained; Rashid, Hardik Released
IPL 2022 is all settled to be a mega tournament as every year, a total of 10 teams will be competing in the next session. This year the 2 new teams Lucknow and Ahmedabad, have joined to the IPL set up and leading of the IPL 2022 huge auction, the current 8 franchises have released their retention list.
With the IPL teams revealing their recalled players, the drive for IPL 2022 is picking up flames. Much like the auction, the retention has also come as a shock. While Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma have been retained by their primary franchises, the release of some players has come as surprise in the IPL 2022 retention. A sum of 27 players has been retained between which eight are abroad players while four are uncapped.
KL Rahul, Rashid Khan, and Hardik Pandya are amongst the big shocking released players that have been released by their franchises Tuesday (November 30). These three big names with other freed players will now be in the pond from which the two new IPL teams, Ahmedabad and Lucknow, will hold up to three picks each for them.
