IPL media rights bid crosses 43 thousand crores
IPL media rights have been valued more than 2.5 times during the first day of bidding for TV and digital rights at Rs 43,000 crore. According to Moneycontrol, people monitoring the auction of IPL media rights reported that Disney Star, Sony Pictures Networks India and Viacom18 were in a race for broadcast rights for all sports in the Indian subcontinent. Zee competed with Disney Plus Hotstar and Reliance Jio for the digital rights.
Now less than half an hour of the day is left for bidding. Bundle A and B auction, which includes TV and digital rights, will run till June 13 (tomorrow). Bidding is expected to begin tomorrow afternoon for the remaining 2 packages which include the digital rights for 18 matches and the TV and digital rights for the rest of the world.
The bidding for the TV and digital rights will not end today. The bidding is still going on and the final
bidding for the day will be held at 6 pm.
The bid for an IPL match reached Rs 54 crore
According to Moneycontrol, the bid for TV rights per match in the IPL had reached Rs 54 crore and is expected to increase further. The digital rights have reached Rs 50 crore per match.
Tv rights bid may reach Rs 24480 crore
During the ongoing auction for the IPL media rights for 2023-2027, the bids for the TV have reached Rs 22,500 crore. According to Moneycontrol, the digital rights value has reached Rs 19,000 crore, while the TV rights are expected to reach Rs 24,480 crore.
The value of every match reached above Rs 100 crore
According to Money Control, it is estimated that the value of TV and digital rights for each IPL match has increased from Rs 54.5 crore to over Rs 100 crore during the 2018-2022 media rights cycle.
IPL media rights bid crosses 40 thousand crores
According to Money Control, the IPL media rights bid has crossed 40, 000 thousand crores. In 2018-2022, Star India won TV and digital rights for 16,347 crores.
