Lasith Malinga was the highest wicket taker in the IPL history. He had 170 wickets in just 122 matches. He played for record champions Mumbai Indians in the IPL.
The Sri Lankan pacer retired in 2019 at the top of the all time wicket takers in IPL.

The pacer had an unusual but highly effective action. His pin point yorkers were one of his main weapons. Both Bravo and Malinga have decieved a number of batsmen with their slower ball over the years.

“Slinga Malinga” also won the IPL 4 times with Mumbai Indians.

On the other hand, Dwayne Bravo took 152 matches to equal Malinga’s record. He has been an important part of Chennai Super Kings over the years.

He showed his class again when he took 3/20 in the 4 overs vs KKR who found it easy to score off of others.

The West Indian also has won the IPL 4 times and has a chance of winning the 5th this year.

Dwayne Bravo levelled Malinga’s record in the previous match. Today he has the chance to become the highest wicket taker in the history of IPL.

Malinga averages 19.79 while Bravo has an average of 24 in IPL cricket.

CSK take on LSG at the Brabourne stadium. A pitch that might hold up a bit will definitely aid Dwayne Bravo tonight.

Both the teams were off to a disappointing start as they lost early wickets while batting 1st.

1 team will be able to get their first win of the season. The defending champions CSK under the new leadership of Jadeja will aim to get their first points of the season against LSG.
