Indonesia Open badminton: The country’s experienced shuttler HS Prannoy is in great shape at the moment. He has made it to the semi-finals of the Indonesia Open badminton where he will face China’s Zhao Jun Peng. Prannoy defeated Danish player Rasmus Gemko in straight games in the quarter-finals to enter the last four. India’s only challenge remains in this tournament in the form of Prannoy.
Jakarta. India’s veteran shuttler HS Prannoy is standing two steps away from the title in the Indonesia Open Super 1000 badminton tournament. Prannoy has reached the semi-finals of the Indonesia Open, retaining his previous stellar performance of Thomas. He defeated world number 13 Rasmus Gemco in straight games and earned a ticket to the last four.
A month after taking India to the Thomas Cup final with a historic win over GameK in the deciding fifth match against Denmark, Prannoy once again registered a scintillating 40-minute quarterfinal 21-14 21-12 win against GameK . This is the second semi-final of world number 23 Prannoy at the Indonesia Open. Earlier, he had reached the last four in the 2017 stage as well.
