India’s Record-Breaking Win Over Bangladesh Seals Dominant T20I Series Sweep
Sanju Samson’s Stunning Century Powers India to a Historic Win Over Bangladesh
India put on a thrilling display of cricket in the third T20I against Bangladesh, posting a record-breaking total of 297/6 to secure a 133-run victory and sweep the series 3-0. The match was dominated by Sanju Samson’s magnificent century, with the Kerala-born cricketer playing one of the finest innings of his career.
Opting to bat first in Hyderabad, India quickly recovered from the early dismissal of Abhishek Sharma, with Samson and Suryakumar Yadav forming a formidable 173-run partnership. Samson’s explosive 111 off just 47 balls, his maiden T20I century, was filled with power-packed shots, including 11 boundaries and 8 sixes. Suryakumar Yadav provided brilliant support with his quickfire 75 from 35 balls.
India set several milestones during this innings, including the second-highest T20I score ever by a Test-playing nation. With 25 boundaries and 22 sixes, they also set a record for the most boundaries hit in a T20 match.
Following Samson’s dismissal, Hardik Pandya and Riyan Parag kept the momentum alive with crucial contributions of 47 and 34, respectively. Their efforts ensured India reached a near-unassailable total of 297/6.
In response, Bangladesh struggled to chase down the massive target. Only Towhid Hridoy (63*) and Litton Das (42) offered any resistance as the Indian bowlers, led by Ravi Bishnoi (3/23), dominated. Mayank Yadav chipped in with two wickets, while Washington Sundar and Nitish Kumar Reddy took one wicket each. Bangladesh ended their innings at 164/7, falling short by 133 runs.
With this win, India not only clinched the series 3-0 but also extended their unbeaten streak to ten matches under the captaincy of Suryakumar Yadav. Hardik Pandya was named the Player of the Series, while Sanju Samson’s century earned him the Player of the Match award.
This emphatic victory cemented India’s status as one of the most formidable T20 teams, leaving fans eagerly anticipating future performances.
