Indian Premier League 2022 will begin on March 26.

Indian Premier League (IPL) to begin in Mumbai on March 26 as announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) at their meeting on Thursday. On Thursday evening (February 24), the IPL Governing Council (GC) approved the results of the tournament.

Ten teams will participate in this year’s IPL, which will begin just 11 days after the Indian cricket team’s tour of Sri Lanka ends There will be four stadiums in Mumbai and Pune to host the Indian Premier League 2022, with the final scheduled for May 29 in Ahmedabad due to the Coronavirus outbreak.

The city of Mumbai will host 55 matches, while Pune will host 15.The Wankhede and DY Patil Stadiums will host four games each, and the Brabourne and MCA Stadiums will host three each. Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium, often called Motera Stadium, will host the final of the IPL 2022 on May 30

The IPL 2022 will include 14 more league stage matches due to the arrival of two new clubs, Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants. Mumbai Indians’ most successful franchise, Chennai Super Kings, will attempt to defend its championship and match Dhoni’s career record of four titles. Previously, on February 12 and 13, the IPL 2022 super auction was conducted in Bengaluru, when all ten clubs purchased players and assembled their squads for the forthcoming 15th season of the league.
