India Register Dominant 372-Run Win In Mumbai To Seal Series
Indian bowlers once again showed their brilliant skills as New Zealand’s batting broke on Day 4 of the 2nd Test with Virat Kohli & co. recorded a huge 372-run victory in the two-match Test series 1-0.
Having bolt out New Zealand for a small 62 in the opening innings, Men in Blues performance out the guests for 167 in the second to nick an outstanding win in Mumbai. India covered up the match for the second time on Day 4 with the Kiwis dropping their ending five wickets for just 27 runs. This was India’s maiden Test win under the guidance of new coach Rahul Dravid.
With the series triumph, India also requited their failure to New Zealand in the final of the initial World Test Championship in Southampton in June.
Already five wickets fell and following a large 540 runs, New Zealand required some reasonable batting on a before last day. However, they were disappointed to give the needed order and use and deflated for a mere 167.
