Ind vs SL: India beats Sri Lanka in the first T20I in the new cricket season

Ind vs SL: The Indian Cricket team has defeated Sri Lanka in their first T20 international match by a massive 62 runs as the Indian batting lineup starred in the match played at the Atal Vihari Bajpayee Stadium in Lucknow

Ind vs SL: Thursday. They have taken a 1-0 lead in the three-match series. Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer were the two players that stood out in the first innings as the talented duo helped the Indians post a healthy total of 199/2 on the scoreboard which had put Sri Lanka into serious trouble in terms of chasing the target.

After losing the toss and having to bat first, the Mumbai Indians duo of captain Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan started off their innings in great fashion by putting up a 111-run partnership which set the tone for the other players to help put up an above-par total on the scoreboard.

India’s bowling contingent was also in amazing form today which helped in restricting the Sri Lankan batting lineup to only 137 runs in the 20 overs and were able to take 7 wickets as well. Bhuvaneshwar Kumar and Venkatesh Iyer managed to knick 2 wickets each whereas Ravindra Jadeja and Yuzi Chahal managed to take one wicket each as well. This match also witnessed our new captain Rohit Sharma lead the team by example as the opener scored 44 runs which made him the highest run maker in the T20 internationals as of now.

Ind vs SL Team India will now play their second T20 match at Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh on 26^th February and will be looking to wrap this series up pretty quickly as well.
