Hockey India Sub Junior Women Championship Day 5 results
Day 5 of the 12th Hockey India Sub Junior Women National Championship 2022 saw some high scoring fixtures!
Hockey Haryana, Uttar Pradesh Hockey and Hockey Association of Odisha registered victories in their respective pool matches on the fifth day of the 12th Hockey India Sub Junior Women National Championship 2022 here on Sunday
Match 1
In the first match of the day, Hockey Haryana registered a comfortable 12-0 win over Hockey Jammu & Kashmir in Pool A. Riya (12′, 18′, 39′, 53′, 56′) scored as many as five goals, while Nidhi (29′, 60′) and Pooja (44′, 48′) each netted twice for Hockey Haryana. Bhavya (13′), Captain Saavi (14′) and Sejal (58′) also scored a goal each for the winning team.
Match 2
In Pool C, Uttar Pradesh Hockey registered a massive 21-0 win against Hockey Gujarat. Vandana Patel (29′, 32′, 34′, 41′, 51′, 56′) starred with six goals, while Suneeta Kumari (16′, 27′, 30′, 39′, 52′) slammed five and Pushpanjali Sonkar (24′, 30′, 43′, 55′) scored four goals for Uttar Pradesh Hockey. Kanchan Kumari (2′, 47′) and Manisha Patel (3′, 35′) each netted twice, while Peetambari Kumari (12′) and Purnima Yadav (36′) also contributed a goal each for the winning team.
Match 3
In Pool D, Hockey Association of Odisha beat Hockey Uttarakhand 5-0. Ashima Rout (17′), Priyanka Kujur (28′), Captain Supriya Kujur (35′), Puja Ramchhuria (37′) and Surekha Bahala (50′) scored a goal each for the winning team.
Match 4
In Pool E, Assam Hockey were declared 5-0 winners after Delhi Hockey forfeited the match.
Match 5(Saturday)
Earlier in the last match on Saturday, Hockey Mizoram outplayed Telangana Hockey 23-0 in Pool H. Lalpeksangi (10′, 14′, 20′, 21′) scored four goals, while Captain Lalrinpuii (8′, 22′, 23′), F.Lalbiaksiami (13′, 27′, 52′) and Mang Lawmsang (17′, 42′, 50′) each bagged a hat-trick for Hockey Mizoram. Ruthi Lallawmzuali (6′, 28′), Lalneihpuii (24′, 27′), Vanlalrinhlui (31′, 47′) and Laldinpuii (35′, 39′) each netted twice, while Lal Tlanchhungi (30′) and Remruatpuii (56′) scored a goal each for the winning team.
Meanwhile, the Pool B match between Hockey Jharkhand and Kerala hockey will be played later in the day at 1800 hrs IST.
