Haris Rauf slapped Kamran Ghulam for dropping a catch.
During the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2022 match against Peshawar Zalmi, Lahore Qalandars pacer Haris Rauf slapped his teammate Kamran Ghulam for dropping the catch.
The incident occurred when Rauf of Lahore dismissed Mohammad Haris of Peshawar Zalmi in the second over of the innings, and the Pakistan pacer hit Ghulam while celebrating the wicket. Earlier in the over, Ghulam had spilled Hazratullah Zazai’s catch as Rauf looked frustrated with the fielder.
Ghulam, on the other hand, could be seen putting on a brave face and smiling even after being hit, whereas Rauf’s expressions were not friendly. The fans were furious at Haris for his outrageous behavior.
On Monday, Peshawar Zalmi defeated Lahore Qalanders in the first super over of the Pakistan Super League. Lahore Qalandars finished at 158-8, tying Peshawar’s effort of 158-7, thanks to captain Shaheen Shah Afridi’s 23 off the final regular over.
Peshawar captain Wahab Riaz bowled a tidy super over, allowing only five runs, and veteran Shoaib Malik won the game by smashing two consecutive boundaries off Afridi’s first two balls. Both teams had 12 points at the end of the group stage, but Lahore finished second due to a higher net run rate than Peshawar.
On Wednesday, Lahore will face league leaders Multan Sultans for a place in the final, while Peshawar will face Islamabad United in an eliminator on Thursday. The winner of the Multan-Lahore semifinal will face the winner of the eliminator on Friday for a rematch in Sunday’s final.
