Former Cricket legends Clash Over Controversial Dismissal Of Virat Kohli
Former New Zealand player and current commentator Simon Doull gave his opinion on the controversial decision of Virat Kohli on Star Sports. He said the TV umpire had to find conclusive evidence to overturn the on-field umpire’s decision. There was no convincing evidence that the ball had previously hit the bat or pad.
All the former players on social media were seen giving their opinion on this decision, in such a situation, Australia’s great spinner Shane Warne gave his opinion about this controversial decision and said, ‘It is not out !! We often discuss technology and its accuracy. The main problem is the interpretation of the technology. Here is a great example of a ball hitting the side of the bat clearly first. Simon Doul replied to this tweet of Shane Warne and wrote to him in simple words that you like to see from your point of view.
Shane Warne and Simon Doull on Virat Kohli’s dismissal
“This is simply – not out !!!!! We often discuss technology & its use / accuracy. The main problem@is the interpretation of the technology. Here’s a perfect example of the ball clearly hitting the edge of the bat first,” he tweeted.
Doull was however quick enough to voice his opinion on the same. He replied to Warne’s Tweet and said that using images to suit the narrative should not be encouraged.
“It’s a clear indication of find the pictures to suit your narrative is all that is. In the side view, the bat has not reached the ball by the time the ball reaches the pad so therefore it’s safe to say hitting the pad first as it’s directly in the same line did happen first. #simple,” Doull wrote in the reply.
