Deepti Sharma and Richa Ghosh make tremendous strides

Deepti Sharma of India climbed two spots to No.18 in the batters’ charts and six spots to No.13 in the bowlers’ charts in the latest women’s ODI batters’ rankings released on Tuesday.

Batter Richa Ghosh has risen 15 places to No.54, thanks to her 65-run innings in the second ODI, which helped India post a strong total.

Mithali is still second among batters with 741 points, while Australia’s Alyssa Healy is leading with 749 points. India’s Jhulan Goswami is fourth among bowlers with 723 points, and India’s Deepti Sharma is fourth among all-rounders with 723 points.

Amelia Kerr of New Zealand has broken into the top-10 for ODI all-rounders in the latest ICC Player Rankings. Amelia scored a century and a fifty in the second and third One-Day Internationals, propelling her to the top of the batters’ and all-rounders’ charts in the weekly ICC Rankings update.

While the White Ferns were chasing 271 in the second ODI, Kerr went in inside the Powerplay and rescued the team from 55/3. She and Maddy Green shared a 128-run fourth-wicket stand. As New Zealand knocked the total down with an over to spare, she battled to the end, finishing on 119 not out off 135 balls.

Kerr also set career highs for batters (512) and all-rounders (512) in the most recent rankings (269). She jumped 21 spots to No.22 in the batter rankings and seven spots to No.6 in the all-rounder rankings.

New Zealander Lauren Down, too, ascended after her match-winning 64* off 52 balls in the third ODI. She climbed 14 spots and broke into the top 50, landing in 49th place for batters.
