IPL 2022: In an interview, Deepak Hooda has revealed that there is no tension between him and Krunal Pandya, despite the rivalry in the past.
During the Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy matches, Deepak Hooda was displeased with the behaviour of Krunal Pandya. The latter was the captain of the side of Baroda.
Deepak Hooda complained about the behaviour of Krunal Pandya.
It got heated to the extent that Hooda left Baroda to join Rajasthan for the remainder of the season.
But now, everything is well between the two.
Deepak Hooda revealed that “Krunal and I are brothers and brothers do fight, you may also have differences. We are a team and are playing with one aim.”
The two have been seen sharing the spotlight as both have performed well for the new franchise. Deepak Hooda has been in fine form with the bat, scoring 119 runs in the 3 innings he has played in.
His goal is to secure a spot in the Indian squad for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup, later this year.
Just like everyone even my dream is to represent India at World Cup, however, my job is deliver good performances and leave the rest for the selectors to decide,” Hooda said.
He also mentioned that there is a positive vibe around the whole camp.
“I spoke to LSG mentor Gautam Gambhir while I was pondering over joining a new franchise. KL Rahul was my captain in Punjab Kings as well so in a way it didn’t make much of a difference for me,” Hooda said.
He continued, “The environment here is quite open with everyone free to think and act. A positive environment does make a difference. Not that my previous experiences with the franchises have been negative but there are little things which make difference.”
