Dasun Shanaka will led Sri Lanka against India.

Sri Lanka named an 18-man roster for the three-match Twenty20 International series against India, which will be contested in Lucknow and Dharamsala from February 24 to 27. While Dasun Shnaka will continue to captain the team, Avishka Fernando, Nuwan Thushara, and Ramesh Medis have been ruled out due to injuries.

Charith Asalanka will be Shanaka’s deputy in the three-match series, while the team also includes Kusal Mendis, Pathum Nissanka, Dinesh Chandimal, and Danushka Gunathilaka.

The Sri Lanka Cricket announced in a statement that Minister of Youth and Sports Namal Rajapaksa has approved the team listed below.

Sri Lanka will travel to India with a formidable spin-bowling arsenal lead by Wanindu Hasaranga, who was purchased in the mega auction for Rs 10.75 crore and will play for Royal Challengers Bangalore.

The spin-bowling assault includes Mahesh Theekshana and Jeffrey Vandersay, as well as off-spinner Ashian Daniel (who will be included in the team pending government consent).

Sri Lanka is on its way to India after losing a five-match Twenty20 International series in Australia 4-1.

India named their 18-man T20I team for the forthcoming series last week. While Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant have been handed bio-bubble breaks, Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja have returned to the squad.

Sri Lanka Team for India: Dasun Shanaka (c), Pathum Nissanka, Kusal Mendis, Charith Asalanka, Dinesh Chandimal, Danushka Gunathilaka, Kamil Mishara, Janith Liyanage, Wanindu Hasaranga, Dushmantha Chameera, Lahiru Kumara, Binura Fernando, Shiran Fernando, Maheesh Theekshana, Jeffrey Vandersay, Praveen Jayawickrama, Ashian Daniel (subject to ministerial approval)
