CSK head coach Stephen Fleming unfazed by Jadeja’s poor form
IPL 2022: Ravindra Jadeja failed to have a telling impact for CSK in the match vs RCB. This is not the first time this season Jaddu has failed to contribute.
Jadeja did bowl an economical spell, but was unable to get a breakthrough for his team. With the bat, Jadeja fell to Harshal Patel, for just 3 runs. Big ups to Virat Kohli, who caught the skier comfortably.
At the start of the season, Jadeja had been given the additional role of leading CSK. After a poor run of form, where CSK managed to win just 3 games in 8, Jadeja decided to hand over the captaincy to MS Dhoni. CSK lost the match to RCB by 13 runs.

Jaddu has had a mediocre season, with both the ball and the bat. He has managed to pick up just 5 wickets in the 10 matches. To go with this, Jadeja has scored just 116 runs so far.
A below average performance from India’s star all-rounder in the Tata IPL 2022.
But the CSK head coach Stephen Fleming is not worried about the poor form of all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja.
“I am not worried about Jadeja’s form, because T20 is a tough match and so when you are batting at number five or six, you don’t get time to get into the pace or the pace,” Fleming said.
Coach Fleming said, “I think we have failed to do well in all departments. We have lost many chances in this competition, which is a matter of concern. At the same time, we have come close to winning in many matches and but we have failed to do better. That has been the story of IPL.”
Stephen Fleming then shifted his focus to heap praise on Mukesh Choudhary.
“We just needed a little bit of experience in the tournament, we lost Milne in the middle and we had some players who got injured. So, we probably needed young players. At the same time, Mukesh Chaudhary bowled well, Simarjeet is getting a chance here, but we are in our balance and that can be the difference in such a tough competition.
Stephen Fleming also said that conditions were created for the defending champions to do well, but they could not take advantage of it and lost the match again.
He said, “We have some good spin options and we knew that before the tournament we have to stick with the bowling and we can do very well with the spin attack. Today was a disappointing day, I thought the conditions were in our favor, but again we lost the match.”
CSK next play Delhi Capitals on 8th May at the Dr DY Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai.
