Cricket Australia has confirmed a Pakistan tour, announces a revised schedule for 3 Tests, 3 ODIs, and a T20I

Australia’s visit of Pakistan will from on March 4, 2022. Australia is preparing to name a full-strength squad for the upcoming trip of Pakistan. The series will take place in three different locations. Three tests will be held at three different locations.

Pakistan held an ICC tournament on their land in 1996, the World Cup, which was co-hosted by Sri Lanka and India. Test cricket was banned until 2019 following the terrorist attack on the Sri Lankan team bus in 2009. With the first match of the tour going to Rawalpindi now, Karachi will host the second match beginning March 12. The final Test will be held at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

They will also play three one-day internationals and a Twenty20 tournament before wrapping off the month-long tour on April 5.

“The tour will proceed for the first time in 24 years. This is a historic occasion and important for the global growth and health of the game,” said Cricket Australia CEO Nick Hockley.

“I would also like to thank the Australian Cricketers’ Association and the players, coaches, support teams, staff, and security experts for their collaboration in the planning for the tour,” added Hockley.
