Closing ceremony set to take place before the final
After 3 long years, the BCCI finally has given the green light towards hosting a Closing ceremony before the match between RR and GT.
Why does the BCCI want to hold a closing ceremony?
“The BCCI has been working on the plan to have a closing ceremony this year (2022). We are discussing having a closing ceremony this year after the final match in Ahmedabad. We want to bring back the colour of IPL so you might see the closing ceremony,” said a BCCI official.
When is the closing ceremony going to begin?
The closing ceremony will be held before the final match showdown between the Rajasthan Royals and the Gujarat Titans. It will start at 6:30 pm and last for an hour.
Soon after, the toss will take place at 7:30 pm and the match will commence at 8:00 pm.
Where can we watch the ceremony?
The ceremony will be displayed on the same channels where we can watch the match .i.e. Star Sports Network and Disney + Hotstar.
Which artists are going to perform at the closing ceremony?
As per the latest reports, bollywood super start Ranveer Singh will perform at the closing ceremony. He will be accompanied by music maestro AR Rahman.
The closing ceremony is dedicated to the 75th Anniversary of India’s Independence as the Central Government is celebrating “Azadi Ka Mohastav”.
Jharkhand’s famed Chhanu Dance would be seen on stage before the bollywood stars enter the frame.
Reportedly, Urvashi Rautela is going to perform at the Tata IPL 2022 Closing ceremony as well.
Who all will be attending the Closing ceremony?
Approximately, 1.32 Lakh people will be in attendance at the Narendra Modi Stadium tomorrow.
Among these attendees will be BCCI’s reigning president Sourav Ganguly, IPL Chairman Brijesh Patel and BCCI secretary Jay Shah.
In addition to that, India PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah will be in Ahmedabad on Sunday evening but for a political rally, so the security will be in its peak zone.
There are several political figures to be in attendance as well.
