IPL 2022: 24 year old slow left arm orthodox spinner Kumar Karthikeya Singh may be the solution to MI’s bowling issues in this Tata IPL 2022 season.

Kumar Karthikeya Singh has been brought in by Mumbai Indians for RS 20 Lakhs, as a replacement for the injured Arshad Khan.

Who is MI’s latest signing, Kumar Karthikeya Singh?

Karthik is a young spinner born in Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh. The left arm spinner has had a memorable season in first class cricket, picking up 35 wickets in just 9 First Class matches.

Add to this the 18 wickets that Karthik took in List A Games, along with 9 wickets in 8 T20 matches.

With the IPL progressing and pitches being used very often, Karthik will act as MI’s key bowler in the remainder of the matches. Spin has been predicted to play a big part as the Tata IPL 2022 season continues to be played in Mumbai.

Mumbai Indians are one of the teams that have hardly used spin this tournament. Karthikeya will add a different bowling option for Mumbai Indians and Rohit Sharma.

He will be a valuable addition to the MI Squad, given Krunal Pandya left MI before the Tata IPL 2022 season.
