The Indian Premier League (IPL) is expected to begin on March 27. Over 1,214 players 896 Indian and 318 overseas players have been registered for the Indian Premier League (IPL). This year IPL will have a mega auction as there are two new franchises added to the tournament. We take a look at 8 bowlers who can get a big amount in IPL 2022 auction.
- Trent Boult: – After winning his first IPL title with Sunrisers Hyderabad. In 2017, he was sold to KKR. Despite he played only one season with KKR and was bought by Delhi. In 2020, he was traded with MI. He played an important role in Mumbai winning the 2020 IPL. He is the best overseas bowler in the IPL. In IPL 2020 Boult took 25 wickets from 15 matches. Ahead of IPL 2022, Mumbai Indians have sent trend Boult in the auction pool.
- Pat Cummins: – The Australian fast bowler Pat Cummins made his IPL debut with KKR in 2011. In 2020 Pat Cummins was bought by KKR for Rs 15.50 Cr. With two seasons with KKR, he took 21 wickets. In his IPL career, he took 38 wickets from 37 matches.
- Ravichandra Ashwin: –Ashwin took 7 wickets in IPL 2021. Ashwin has taken 145 wickets from 167 matches in IPL. He is just 5 wickets away from competing for 150 IPL wickets. Ravichandra Ashwin will visit the auction pool as he was released by Delhi Capital ahead of IPL auction 2022. Delhi Capital chooses Axar Patel over Ashwin.
- Shardul Thakur: – Shardul Thakur is an emerging fast bowler for Indian cricket. In 2021 IPL he has taken 21 wickets from 16 matches with an economy of 8.8. He has made an impactful contribution to Chennai Super Kings. There will be a bidding war for Shardul Thakur in the IPL auction 2022.
- Harshal Patel: – IPL 2021 has been great for Harshal Patel. The fast bowler took 32 wickets for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) he ended as the highest wicket-taker of the IPL 2021. Ahead of IPL auction 2022 RCB did not retain Harshal Patel and sent him in the auction pool.
- Kagiso Rabada: – Kagiso Rabada started his IPL journey with Delhi Daredevils now (Delhi Capitals). He played 50 IPL matches and took 76 wickets at an economy of 8.21. But Delhi chooses Andre Nortje over Kagiso Rabada, and he has been added to the auction pool.
- Lockie Ferguson; – The fast bowler from New Zealand was bought by KKR in 2019. HE has some good pace, along with some variation and deadly yorkers. Till now he has played 22 matches and taken 24 wickets at an economy of 8.11. The pacer is drafted in the IPL auction 2022.
- Avesh Khan: – In IPL 2021 he took 24 wickets from 16 matches at an economy of 7.37. and was the second-highest wicket-taker in the tournament. Though Delhi Captains did not retain him ahead of IPL auction 2022. We will see Avesh Khan in the auction pool.
