‘Australia Has Outclassed England’: Moeen Ali

England’s white-ball specialist bowler Moeen Ali described his shock at witnessing the sweeping match between Australia and the Englishmen in the dominant Ashes series. Moeen Ali revealed that the hosts Australia have been superior to Joe Root and co. in all three Tests to keep the urn.

Australia claimed a secure 3-0 lead in the five-match series by winning the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne. They overcame their arch-rivals before lunch on Day 3 as England tucked for a discomfiting 68 to fail by an innings and 14 runs.

After another crushing defeat to England, there are constant reactions and in this Moeen Ali has also given a statement. In a conversation with BT Sports, he reacted to the disappointing performance of England.

Moeen Ali said, “Australia are way ahead of England and we are far behind them in all three matches. I don’t think before the series this gap was that big but now it seems that the gap between the two teams is huge. It has grown, whether we believe it or not. I can’t remember how many sessions we did in this series. You need experience, technique and hard work to be successful in Test cricket. Not saying we don’t work hard but I don’t think we work on the right things often.”
