Australia Announces Playing XI For Ashes

Australia Test skipper Pat Cummins has called his playing eleven for the Ashes’ first test match against England. Alex Carey is also firm to make his Test debut while Mitchell Starc has also got the cut finish thoughts on whether he would be part of the final eleven.

Cummins stated it was a difficult task to decide between Head and Usman Khawaja, but Head’s job as a deputy for the newest Test for the Aussies has given him a slight advantage over Khawaja.

“It was a tight one. Both really good options, really strong form,” said Cummins. “Experience is great from Uzzie and we feel really lucky to have that in the squad, but Trav’s been playing a lot for us the last couple of years. He’s gone away and he’s churned out runs in England, here in Australia, and we feel like he’s really ready to go.”

England currently grasps 5th place out of 7 teams in ICC World Test Championship 2021-23. Australia, on the other hand, has not worked a particular Test so far in the tournament. The completion of The Ashes 2021 will positively influence the ICC WTC 2021-23 scores table.

For Australia, their Test captain Tim Paine lately walked down as skipper due to a sexting controversy and now the Australian squad will be driven by Pat Cummins. Though, the Australian team has a powerful structure with players likes Steve Smith, David Warner, Marnus Labuschagne, Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Johnson amongst others in the team.

England captain Joe Root however has held confirming his decisive eleven stating he would make before the series first test match in Brisbane after having a survey at the pitch.
