“Athletes will not be required to run after Govt. offices “: Anurag Thakur
Anurag Thakur : On Friday , Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Shri Anurag Singh Thakur has introduced three major initiatives of his department- an online portal for schemes of the department of sports , the National Sports development fund (NSDF) website and a revised scheme of cash award , national welfare and pension to sportspersons.

So that deserving candidates will not be required to run after government offices in order to get their rewards since the Sports Ministry has made the processes online .
Anurag Thakur said , ” These initiatives will help in bringing transparency and accountability in system and apart from giving a push to the govt. digital India mission.”
“These schemes we have made this system simple and transparent for the sportspersons . Our only purpose is to make system simple and transparent for the sportspersons so that they can get their rewards without delay “. he added .
“We have also made Pension scheme or Deen Dayal Upadhyay National Welfare Scheme for Sportspersons online so as to athletes time doesn’t get wasted . ” Anurag Thakur.
He has also mentioned that It is user friendly and technology driven and through this we can fulfil the maximum govt. thought also .
Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Shri Anurag Singh Thakur has introduced 3 main initiatives for sportspersons . So that deserving athletes and sportspersons will not be required to run after government offices in order to get their rewards since the Sports Ministry has made the processes online .
Sports Minister has also appealed to the countrymen , and the private entities and PSUs to make contribution to the NSDF for the welfare and development of Indian Sports.
