Arshdeep Singh Nominated for Emerging Cricketer of the Year Award
Arshdeep Singh Nominated for Emerging Cricketer of the Year award : Arshdeep Singh, who is already a key component of India’s bowling attack with the white ball, is to be commended for how fast he adapted to the international game.
The recent India tour of New Zealand saw Arshdeep receive an ODI cap as well, and the 23-year-old appears to be destined to further India’s game.
In the ICC Men’s Asia Cup, he picked up five wickets in five games, but in the T20 World Cup, he improved and finished with ten wickets in six games.
The left-arm quick was given an opportunity by India’s national squad, building on a successful IPL career, and he took advantage of it as the team sought to recover from a dismal performance at the 2021 T20 World Cup.
In Jasprit Bumrah’s absence, he has emerged as one of India’s best death bowlers of the modern era and has been in charge of the assault during the final overs.
Arshdeep stood tall on the big stage, unfazed by the pressure of an India vs. Pakistan match in a world championship and in front of more than 90,000 spectators.
Arshdeep dismissed both members of Pakistan’s productive opening duo with a tremendous swing at pace. After dismissing Mohammad Rizwan at the end of his subsequent over, he claimed Babar Azam with his first ball, adjudicating him leg before wicket.
Asif Ali’s hopes for a late onslaught were thwarted by Arshdeep, who came back at the very end and finished with 3/32 from his four overs allotted.
Arshdeep is definitely an asset for India’s Cricketing future.
