Ahmedabad’s franchise will be called Gujarat Titans.

Gujarat Titans are the official name of CVC Capital’s new Ahmedabad franchise, which will be led by Hardik Pandya in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. The name of the franchise was revealed ahead of the second One-Day International (ODI) between India and the West Indies on Wednesday in Ahmedabad.

The Ahmedabad franchise was named just days after the Lucknow franchise, which is owned by the RPSG Group, declared its official name as the Lucknow Super Giants. KL Rahul will be the captain of Lucknow Super Giants.

Vikram Solanki, a former England cricketer, has been appointed as the Gujarat Titans’ Director of Cricket. Former World Cup-winning coach and South Africa opener Gary Kirsten will be the franchise’s head coach, while Ashish Nehra will be the franchise’s head coach and batting coach for IPL 2022.
