Aaron Finch has joined KKR as a replacement for Alex Hales.
A replacement for England batter Alex Hales in the upcoming IPL 2022 has been named by the Kolkata Knight Riders as Australian T20 captain Aaron Finch. Despite having bubble fatigue in the tournament, Hasel has withdrawn from the competition.
In 88 Twenty20 Internationals, Aaron Finch has 2686 runs to his name, which include two centuries and 15 half-centuries. Kolata Knight Riders have signed Aaron Finch for Rs 1.5 crore. Till now Aaron Finch has scored 2000 runs in IPL and has played 87 games.
Kolkata Knight Riders(KKR) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will square off in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 opening on 26th March 2022 at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium.
Hales wrote on social media about why he is declining the offer to play for KKR: ” I’m sorry to say that I’ve had to make the difficult decision to withdraw from the upcoming IPL. I don’t feel like I can commit to another extended period away from home in a secure environment after spending the last four months away from home in restrictive bio bubbles and testing positive for COVID in Australia.”
