Updates on Team India’s Test series squad : On Dec 11th, BCCI released an article that fetched information regarding the Test series from the India’s tour of Bangladesh.
What is new?
Rohit Sharma, Team India’s captain, saw a doctor in Mumbai for his left thumb injury that he got in the second ODI against Bangladesh. His ailment has been given the proper management, and he will not be able to play in the first Test against Bangladesh. His availability for the second and final Test will be decided by the BCCI Medical Team at a later time.
Abhimanyu Easwaran has been named as a replacement for Rohit Sharma for the first Test by The All-India Senior Selection Committee.
Mohd Shami, a fast bowler, and Ravindra Jadeja, an all-arounder, are both out of the Test series because they have not fully recovered from their respective shoulder and knee problems.
Shami and Jadeja have been replaced by Navdeep Saini and Saurabh Kumar, respectively, by the selectors.
Jaydev Unadkat, a fast bowler, has also been included in the Test series team for India by the selection committee.
