Tom Brady unretires and wants to return to the NFL next season

Seven time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady has decided to change his mind about his retirement and says that he wishes to play in the National Football league with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for one more season and have a go at the championship this time round as well. The legendary NFL player already has six championship titles in his bag and at the age of 45 still has the motivation to go on and compete at the top level of his sport.

“These past two months I have realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands. That time will come. But it’s not now.”

“I love my teammates and I love my supportive family. Without them, none of this is possible. I’m coming back for my 23rd season in Tampa.

“We have unfinished business.”

Brady explained his decision on social media

“Tom Brady loves to play football as much as anyone I’ve ever been around,”

“He’s still playing at a championship level and was as productive as anyone in the league last season. We are ecstatic that he decided to continue playing and working toward winning another championship.”

Buccaneers coach Bruce Arians reacted as he welcomed back Brady

The Buccaneers simply posted a video of Brady on Twitter with the message: “He’s baaackkkk.”

“We’re thrilled that Tom has decided to come back this season. We said we would leave all options open for him should he reconsider his retirement and today’s announcement is something we have been preparing for in recent days.”

“Bruce and I have had plenty of conversations with Tom recently that led us to believe there was a realistic chance he’d want to come back.

“Tom is the greatest quarterback of all time who is still playing at an elite level. With this decision now made, we will continue to move forward with our off-season plans to reload this roster for another championship run.”

Buccaneers general manager Jason Licht said

Tom Brady, who has been awarded the MVP award for a total of 5 times and already has numerous NFL records like career passing records with 7,263 completions on 11,317 attempts for 84,520 yards and 624 touchdowns to his name, will be looking to create history again as he looks forward to playing in the next season.
