Tata New Title Sponsor Of IPL.

Now instead of Chinese mobile company Vivo (VIVO), Tata will be the title sponsor of IPL. The chairman of the IPL Governing Council has confirmed this. Vivo had bought the IPL title sponsorship rights for 5 years in the year 2018 for 2190 crores. Under the contract, VIVO was to pay Rs 440 crore every year to BCCI as title sponsorship. But the Border dispute between India and China in 2020 had an impact on this contract as well. After the martyrdom of Indian soldiers in Eastern Ladakh, all-around protests against Chinese mobile companies started in the country. IPL, chairman Brijesh Patel has informed news agency PTI that from the year 2022, TATA will be the sponsor of IPL, which will replace the Chinese company.
