The NBA All-Star game took place in Cleveland as Golden State Warriors basketball star Stephen Curry had earlier decided to donate some funds to the Cleveland Metro School District as he played in Team Lebron. He had decided that he would donate $1,000 for every point scored, $3,000 for every 3-pointer, and $10,000 if he won All-Star Game MVP. It was as if the Golden State Warriors star knew what was going to happen in the game as Curry had one of the best All-Star game performances in some time.
Curry showcased his talent on the court and scored some mind-blowing three-pointers to the amazement and excitement of the fans in the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse. Being born near Akron, Stephen Curry played his first All-star game in Cleveland. He scored a total of 50 points including 16 three-pointers which is just one less than the all-time scoring record set by Anthony Davis at the 2017 All-Star Game. His 50-points came on a scorching17-of-30 from the field and 16-of-27 from the 3-point line, eventually making him the NBA All-Star Game Kobe Bryant MVP Award winner as well. The first All-Star Game MVP of his career.
With his MVP performance in the game, he managed to raise a total of $108k on the night which will benefit a lot of people in the coming years.
