Shaheen Afridi and Jasprit Bumrah have been ruled out of the Asia Cup due to injuries

Asia Cup:Legendary bowlers Shaheen Afridi and Jasprit Bumrah have been ruled out of the T20 tournament due to injuries.

Asia Cup 2022: qualifiers are going to start shortly. At the same time, the main round matches are to be held in UAE from 27 August. Earlier, both India and Pakistan teams have suffered a major setback. Jasprit Bumrah and Shaheen Afridi have both been ruled out of the T20 tournament due to injuries.

Both are one of the legendary bowlers of international cricket. In such a situation, the bowlers can get to see the dominance in the tournament to be held in UAE. The clash between India and Pakistan (IND vs PAK) is to be held on August 28. This tournament is important for the preparation of T20 World Cup.

The PCB has informed on Saturday that 22-year-old left-arm fast bowler Shaheen Afridi has been ruled out of the Asia Cup. He had suffered a knee injury during the Test series against Sri Lanka recently. The medical team has given him 4 to 6 weeks of rest. On the other hand, Jasprit Bumrah is troubled by an old injury.

Apart from India and Pakistan, teams from Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Bangladesh are entering the main round of T20 Asia Cup. One team out of 4 of the qualifiers will advance to the main round. The final is to be held on September 11. India has won the Asia Cup title for the most 7 times while Sri Lanka has won the Asia Cup 5 times. On the other hand, Pakistan’s team has become champion 4 times.
