The PCB has informed on Saturday that 22-year-old left-arm fast bowler Shaheen Afridi has been ruled out of the Asia Cup. He had suffered a knee injury during the Test series against Sri Lanka recently. The medical team has given him 4 to 6 weeks of rest. On the other hand, Jasprit Bumrah is troubled by an old injury.

Apart from India and Pakistan, teams from Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Bangladesh are entering the main round of T20 Asia Cup. One team out of 4 of the qualifiers will advance to the main round. The final is to be held on September 11. India has won the Asia Cup title for the most 7 times while Sri Lanka has won the Asia Cup 5 times.
