Rawalpindi Pitch not a good advertising for test cricket: Ramiz Raja

The ground utilized for the first Test between Australia and Pakistan in Rawalpindi, according to Pakistan Cricket Board head Ramiz Raja, was not a good advertising for Test cricket. Raja made his comments after the historic first Test concluded in a dull draw, with only 14 wickets falling in five days.

After a lengthy absence, cricket has returned to Pakistan. Everybody was excited for the new adventure that Australians will bring the fans, The general cricketing community. Both the players of the team and the first day of the Test match began. Pakistan Batting first on a wicket which looked good for batting. So, a minimum score of 350 would have been good. But as soon as the match started, it became clear that this was not a proper cricketing pitch It was a Placid Test match wicket excellent for batting, which was shown by Pakistani batters as they notched up their hundreds.

The Australian bowlers were not bad, but the wicket was not suited for their fast bowling. Neither was their lone main spinner Nathan Lyon Was able to make a dent in Big Pakistani batting lineup. They tried different combination by giving the Bowling to their part time bowler such as Travis had. Marnus, smith. But as their main bowlers failed, so none of the part time bowlers were able to get a wicket on this flat Pakistani pitch. As soon as the game went into second innings where Australia was able to bat, people were expecting the things to be different But Australian batting lineup is also not one to overlook, and the same was shown by batsman Khwaja and David Warner when they came to bat.

Then they notched up a century partnership and khwaja just missed 100 by three runs and so forth The Big batsmen Marnus and Smith came and the pitch was Nowhere It was just a flat batting wicket and Australia also notched a 400 in reply of close to 500 that Pakistan made. It became evident that this is not a proper cricketing wicket. That may get a result and Pakistan Instead of showing aggression or making a Test match out of nothing, they continued their batting in their second innings and their openers made hundreds and Pakistan did not declare on the 5th day of the Test match and what could have been an historic moment in Pakistan cricketing Journey It became a draw. A pleasant Test match Which neither fans nor the general credit community got anything out of.

The question was asked from PCB chief, But The answers were not there. Pat Cummins, the Australian captain. Was heard saying that this pitch was made to neutralize Australia’s pace bowling attack and not to winner or even play a proper Test match. So, at the end, on a flat wicket, batters got runs. fielders were made to field. So, it was a historic moment, but because of a flat wicket The test must turned out to be a normal general draw. Pakistan PCB chief told that in future we are looking to make a proper cricketing pitch and overhauling the whole pitch structure in Pakistan? But let’s see, there are a couple more tests in the series hoping for more better pitch in upcoming Situations.
