Ravindra Jadeja has reclaimed No.1 spot in the all-rounder rankings.

Ravindra Jadeja of India has risen to the top of the ICC Test rankings for all-rounders following his match-winning effort against Sri Lanka in the first Test in Mohali. Jason Holder of the West Indies was overtaken by Jadeja to grab the lead. It’s not the first time the Indian spinner has topped the all-rounder rankings, and his ascension comes as no surprise after a brilliant performance against Sri Lanka in the series opener. The India all-rounder was named Player of the Match after batting an unbeaten 175 in the first innings to help India to a strong 574/8 declared total. He backed that up with a five-wicket haul in Sri Lanka’s first innings, as well as the best numbers in the second innings (4/46). Jadeja’s 175* was also the highest score in Test cricket by an Indian batsman batting at No. 7 or lower, breaking Kapil Dev’s long-standing record.

Jason Holder has moved up to second place, while Jadeja’s teammate Ravichandran Ashwin has dropped to third.

Meanwhile, former India captain Virat Kohli, who recently played his 100th Test, has returned to the top five in the Test batter rankings, while wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant has joined the top ten following his 96-run innings in Mohali.

Marnus Labuschagne remained the world’s top-ranked batter, and his rating of 936 places him 12th all-time, with Ricky Ponting, Steve Smith, and Don Bradman the only Australians rated higher than the 27-year-old.

There were no notable changes in the top 10 men’s bowling rankings, and only one move, with Neil Wagner and Josh Hazlewood swapping places at eighth and ninth, respectively.

Nasum Ahmed of Bangladesh was the biggest mover among bowlers in the new ICC Men’s T20I player rankings, going up 17 places to join the top ten.

Anrich Nortje of South Africa has climbed up to seventh place, one spot ahead of Mujeeb Ur Rahman.
