Paris FC and Lyon were both thrown out of the French Cup on Monday for the hooliganism that forced their December 17 tie to be called off at half-time.

The French Football Federation has declared this afternoon that its penal commission has decided to throw out both Paris FC and Lyon from the Coupe de France, due to the violence in the stands that spoiled their draw. The committee figured that both clubs were accountable for the incidents, which stopped the game from continuing after half-time, with the score at 1-1.

The fixture had noticed a small cluster of Lyon ultras clearly at the heart of a storm of public trouble, which contained flare-throwing and pitch attacks, while the finger had also been indicated at the Ligue 2 club for an alleged shortage of security.

In expansion to their elimination from the cup, Paris FC will be made to play their next five matches away from their home base, the Stade Charléty, as well as be imposed a €10,000 fine.
