Manika Batra expresses gratitude to well-wishers for the suspension of the TTFI.

Manika Batra, a star Indian table tennis player, thanked her supporters on Friday after the Delhi High Court ruled in her favor, suspending the Table Tennis Federation of India Executive Committee for six months and finding national coach Soumyadeep Roy guilty of match-fixing during the Tokyo Olympic qualifiers.

Justice Rekha Palli, who was hearing the petition filed by Commonwealth Games gold medalist and Khel Ratna awardee Manika Batra, stated that the report of the three-member committee formed by it to investigate the paddler’s allegations of match-fixing showed that TTFI “protected the interests of its officials” and that “rather than promoting players, TTFI is dictating terms.” The court stated that this country takes pride in its athletes and that those who do not understand how players should be handled “should be out.”

I have dedicated my life to sports to bring glory to my country. I have the greatest faith in the Indian judiciary. I’m grateful to the Government of India, everyone who supported me, and the people of my nation for their help “Manika Batra announced the decision in a statement.

I had no choice but to go to the Hon’ble Court when I had been subjected to undue pressure and ill-treatment, which put me into great mental agony. I had to endure very difficult conditions just before the Olympics in Tokyo.

“It harmed my performance in the Olympics.” “My sole objective is to obtain protection for myself and all the hardworking Indian players who deserve to compete and play for India.” I have only one goal in life: to make India proud in the realm of sports. “The Sports Ministry and SAI are always supportive to the athletes, and sports in our nation are expanding,” she continued.

Batra, a member of the Indian contingent to the Asian Table Tennis Championships, filed a court case last year alleging that national coach Soumyadeep Roy “pressed” her into “throwing away” an Olympic qualifier match in favor of a trainee of his. “The study presents a bleak picture of the situation. The court is shocked to hear some of the committee’s views on how respondent no. 1 (TTFI) and respondent no. 3 (national coach) were operating “According to the judge.
