Indian shooters continue their stellar performance in the ongoing ISSF World Cup in Changwon, South Korea. Veteran shooter Mairaj Ahmed Khan on Monday won a gold medal for the country in the men’s skeet event at the ISSF World Cup. In the 40-shot final, 46-year-old Mairaj scored 37 to beat Korea’s Minsu Kim (36) and Britain’s Ben Llewellyn (26).
Mairaj Ahmed Khan is the first Indian male shooter to win gold in the skeet event of the World Cup. Mairaj, a two-time Olympian and this time in Changwon, the oldest member of the Indian contingent, won a silver medal at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro World Cup.
