IPL2022: RCB tries to get away from mid-table traffic vs DC

Delhi capitals(DC) and Royals challengers Bangalore (RCB) will face each other on April 16 at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai in Match-27

Marsh has started batting in the nets, and DC’ assistant coach Shane Watson told the Grade Cricketer on Friday that “it’s looking like he would be coming in for the next game”. If so, Rovman Powell will have to make way for him. If Mitchell Marsh is available for Saturday’s game, that will allow Rishabh Pant to bat at No. 5 and alleviate this problem.

For RCB, the absence of Harshal Patel, their main death bowler. Their other seamers – Mohammed Siraj and Akash Deep – haven’t been able to control the flow of runs in death overs. Siraj’s economy rate at the death this season has been 16.83.

 PITCH REPORT:

Four out of the five games at the Wankhede stadium in IPL 2022 have been won by teams chasing. So captains will look to bowl first if they win the toss

TACTICS:

DC- Rishabh Pant has four fifties in 11 innings against RCB while David Warner scored eight fifties and a hundred against them. They will try to score big against RCB with Prithvi shaw in form.

RCB-   Axar Patel got Faf du plessis thrice and he has a strike rate of just 110 against the leftie. Glenn Maxwell has dismissed Pant twice in just 12 balls. We can expect to see Maxwell bowling to the DC skipper.

HEAD TO HEAD :

DC 10 – RCB 16

STATS:

1)Warner has scored 43 runs in 21 balls against Wanindu Hasaranga without a single dismissal.

2)Khaleel has yet to concede a six this season and picked up two or more wickets in all three games he has played so far.

3)RCB have conceded the most sixes so far (54) while DC have conceded the fewest (24)

POSSIBLE PLAYING XI:

DC: David Warner, Prithvi Shaw, Mitchell Marsh, Rishabh Pant (c/wk), Rovman Powell, Lalit Yadav, Axar Patel, Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav, Mustafizur Rahman, Khaleel Ahmed
