India Capitals Aim for Second Straight Win as They Take on Southern Super Stars in LLC 2024

India Capitals, owned by the GMR Group, are set to face Southern Super Stars in the fifth match of the Legends League Cricket (LLC) 2024 season at Barkatullah Khan Stadium in Jodhpur tomorrow. Following a nail-biting 1-run victory over Toyam Hyderabad in their opening game, India Capitals aim to secure their second consecutive win under their new captain, Ian Bell.

The fifth match of LLC season 3 between India Capitals and Southern Super Stars will be broadcast LIVE on the Star Sports Network on September 25, 2024 (Wednesday), starting at 7 PM IST. Fans can also catch the live stream of the match on FanCode.

Commenting on the upcoming match, India Capitals captain Ian Bell expressed confidence: “We’re coming off an exciting win in our first match, and the team’s confidence is high. Southern Super Stars are a strong side, but we’re focused on our game plan. The key will be consistently executing our skills, and we’re ready for the challenge.”

In their opening game, the Capitals posted a competitive total of 185/5 against Toyam Hyderabad. Standout performances came from Ben Dunk, who scored 60 runs off 35 balls and was named Man of the Match, as well as contributions from Colin de Grandhomme (31* off 12) and Ashley Nurse (30 off 19). The bowling unit excelled, led by Rahul Sharma (2/21) and Dhawal Kulkarni (2/41), successfully defending the total to clinch a thrilling win.

Key players to watch for the India Capitals include all-rounders Ashley Nurse and Colin de GrandhommeBen Dunk, and wicketkeeper Naman Ojha. The bowling attack, spearheaded by Rahul Sharma, Chris Mpofu, and Dhawal Kulkarni, will aim to contain the Southern Super Stars’ strong batting lineup.

On the other hand, Southern Super Stars, captained by Dinesh Karthik, are coming off a convincing 26-run victory against Gujarat Giants. Riding on the momentum, they will look for another win, relying on key batsmen like Dinesh Karthik, Parthiv Patel, Martin Guptill, Kedar Jadhav, and Hamilton Masakadza. Their bowling strength, including Abdur Razzak, Pawan Negi, and Suranga Lakmal, will be crucial in challenging the Capitals.
