India defeated Pakistan 4-3 in a thrilling match as they booked a bronze medal in the Asian Champions Trophy. The game moved to the wire with both teams reaching full choke against each seeking to forge their dominance. India began on a promising letter after Harmanpreet Singh strike the first goal for India from the penalty corner before \which allowed India to take a 1-0 head up in the first quarter.
Nonetheless, Pakistan’s Afraz equalised for his crew shortly and got the match to similar goals. Abdul Rana struck the second goal for Pakistan as India left behind with 2-1 in the third quarter of the match.
India yet collected speed and seized an important 3-2 pointer in the final quarter through Varun Kumar on a penalty corner after Gursahibjit Singh got India in the match as he stroked the equaliser for the team at the fourth quarter with the points table at 2-2.
Finally, Akashdeep Singh scored India’s thrilling final goal to put India in the lead with two, 4-2, and within just a mere space away from a medal. India gained another penalty corner just three minutes from the final stop call but Varun Kumar’s action was held by the Pakistan goalkeeper. Pakistan’s third goal was useless as India finished the tournament in third place.
