India Announced Squad For FIFAe Qualifiers

The All India Football Federation has announced the India squad to participate in the FIFAe Nations Online Qualifiers 2022 Play-ins Match Week 1 scheduled to take place on December 16 and 17, 2021.

Siddh Chandarana, Charanjot Singh and Lokmanyu Chaturvedi will be the three players to represent the India FIFAe National Squad where the eTigers will take on the Korea Republic, Malaysia, Japan and Indonesia in a single round-robin format in Match Week 1.

“Participation in this tournament means a lot for e-football in India as it is the biggest stage where we can showcase our talent and represent our country at the highest level,” said Charanjot.

As many as 54 Member Associations will take part in the Play-ins and India have been grouped together with their 4 competitors in Division 1, Conference 1 of the Asia and Oceania Zone.

“We expect tough competition in these opening rounds but our preparations have been going well and we can’t wait to get going,” said Chandarana.

Each matchup will consist of two games, each of which ends after 90-in-Game minutes, without extra-time or penalties. For each game, the Participating Member Association (PMA) will be awarded with 0 points for a loss, 1 point for a draw and 3 points for a win. One Matchup therefore can award a maximum of 6 points.
