Hyderabad FC reach their first ever ISL final after winning the 2 legged semi final tie against ATK Mohun Bagan. They won the first leg 3-1, lost the second 1-0.
They now compete with Kerala Blasters in a bid to win their maiden ISL title.
Despite being on the losing side of the second semi final, they advanced through to the final.
They lost on the night to a Krishna Roy goal, but their 3-1 lead from the first leg meant they go through on aggregate.
Manuel Marquez was pleased to have qualified for the final but, was not impressed with the loss to the Mariners. He would definitely want to improve on a few areas before the two teams meet on Sunday.
Laxmikant Kattimani was awarded the Man of the Match award for the outstanding saves he made throughout the match.
Manuel Marquez said “Practically, we didn’t play. I think that ATK Mohun Bagan controlled every action of the game. But we should be happy, it’s not every day that you reach the final of the Hero ISL”.
The game on Sunday 20th March would be played at the PJN Stadium, Fatorda.
