Dwayne Bravo has officially joined Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) as their mentor ahead of IPL 2025, replacing Gautam Gambhir, the head coach of the Indian cricket team. Bravo, a T20 legend and IPL veteran, brings his wealth of experience to KKR after playing for the Trinbago Knight Riders in the CPL.
Bravo expressed excitement, stating, “Having played for and against the Knight Riders across various leagues, I have immense respect for how they operate. The owners’ passion, professionalism, and the family-like environment make it a special place. This is the perfect platform as I transition from playing to mentoring and coaching the next generation.”
In addition to KKR, Bravo is also a mentor for other Knight Riders teams, including the Trinbago Knight Riders in CPL, the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders in ILT20, and the Los Angeles Knight Riders in MLC. With 582 matches, 631 wickets, and over 7,000 runs under his belt, Bravo’s vast experience will be invaluable to KKR as they aim to defend the IPL title in 2025.
